Embossing

Embossing creates a raised or deepened relief with a die, stamp, embossing powder or printing tool.

Choose between dry and heat embossing

With dry embossing, the die, paper thickness and pressure determine the relief. Heat embossing uses slow-drying stamping ink, powder and controlled heat. Before purchasing, check which plates, molds and sizes work with your machine or hand tool; similar dimensions do not always mean the sandwich is the same.

Sharp edges without damage

Use paper that is strong enough to shape without tearing immediately. For heat embossing, remove loose powder with a fine brush and heat briefly and evenly until the surface just flows. Work heat-resistant, keep the heat gun moving and let metal, powder and paper cool before touching them.
