Frequently asked questions
Find practical answers about cyanotype, creative materials, ordering, shipping and returns.
Cyanotype and materials
What is cyanotype?
Cyanotype is a UV-light photographic printing process. Exposure and rinsing produce its distinctive deep-blue print. It is used for botanical prints, photography, textiles and art projects.
What do I need to start?
You need cyanotype solution or the two required chemicals, a suitable surface, UV light, water and a way to hold the subject or negative flat against the surface. A cyanotype starter kit brings the main items together.
How should I use and store chemicals safely?
Always follow the label, product instructions and safety data sheet. Wear suitable protection, work in a ventilated area, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and do not mix cyanotype chemicals with acids. Keep products closed, out of children’s reach and stored as directed on the packaging.
Ordering and shipping
When will my order be dispatched?
In-stock cyanotype products ordered before 12:00 are dispatched the same business day. Newly added creative products require 8-9 days of preparation before dispatch. The product page shows which dispatch time applies. Delivery time after dispatch depends on the country and carrier.
How are shipping costs calculated?
Available shipping methods and costs are calculated at checkout from the delivery address and the contents of your order.
Can I order as a business with a valid EU VAT number?
Enter your VAT number where requested during checkout. After successful validation, the applicable VAT treatment is shown at checkout.
Returns and support
How do I start a return?
