Decorative waxes and finishing products change the shine, color and protection of wood, paint, metal accents and mixed-media surfaces.
Color wax, protective wax and patina
Transparent wax often deepens the color, colored wax emphasizes relief and dark patina gives an aged effect. Check compatibility with chalk paint, acrylic, metal powder or porous wood and determine whether a later layer should still be able to adhere. Not every wax is suitable for outdoor use or intensively used surfaces.
Apply thinly and polish out in a controlled manner
Work on a clean, completely dry surface and apply a small amount of product with a cloth, sponge or suitable brush. Let the wax soak in according to the instructions and polish evenly to the desired shine. Ventilate well, allow used cloths to dry flat or dispose of them safely and always test for color shift.
