Choosing the right colour

Choose one 100 ml tube. Colour 15 is transparent dark ultramarine blue; colour 33 is opaque cadmium red hue.

Colour studies with visible paint marks

Studio Acrylics has a thick consistency for textured painting. The 100 ml tube suits replenishing a particular colour or building your own palette. Choose each option separately; brushes, a palette and a painting surface are not included.

Choose coverage deliberately

Use an opaque colour for a solid area and a transparent colour when the layer beneath should remain visible. Compare colour 15 with an opaque colour by painting both across a dry coloured stripe. Let the sample dry before judging the result.

Regular and effect colours

Choose by both colour name and code. The range also includes metallic, iridescent and fluorescent options. These are different effects: an iridescent colour does not replace every regular mixing colour. Close the tube after dispensing and mix a small amount on your palette first.
