Print photographs regularly or create a coordinated series with 100 A4 sheets of Ilford Galerie Smooth Gloss. Each sheet measures 21 × 29.7 cm. The larger pack suits repeated printing on the same paper. For an initial paper trial or just a few photographs, the separate 25-sheet pack may be more convenient.
Which photo paper is this?
Smooth Gloss is bright-white glossy inkjet photo paper with a resin-coated RC base. Choose it for photographs and reproductions when you want a smooth, glossy finish. It is not matt cotton paper, transparency film or light-sensitive cyanotype paper. The technical sheet lists optical brighteners and specifies that the paper is not acid-free.
Will it work with your printer?
The coating is designed for inkjet systems using aqueous dye or pigment inks. Check the printer manual for supported paper thickness, weight and the appropriate feed path. Use suitable media settings and, where available, an ICC profile for your printer, ink and paper combination. The term inkjet does not establish compatibility with every printer.
Test printing and storage
Make a test print to assess cropping, margins and colour before printing your series. Ilford describes the surface as instantly touch-dry; this does not guarantee resistance to scratches, moisture or marks. Follow the ink manufacturer’s drying instructions before stacking or finishing prints. Handle sheets by their edges and store paper in its original packaging, dry and away from direct sunlight.
