Glossy paper for photographs and displays
The Glossy Smooth finish suits photographs where you want a visibly glossy surface. Allow for reflections from windows and lights when displaying a print behind glass. Ilford specifies indoor displays as an application; that does not establish unrestricted outdoor durability or waterproofing. Compare a matt finish if you prefer less gloss.
Will this 50-inch roll fit your printer?
Check that your wide-format inkjet printer accepts a 127 cm (50-inch) roll, a 3-inch core and 250 gsm paper. Also check the maximum roll diameter and an appropriate media setting for your printer and ink. An A4 or A3 printer cannot use this roll. Roll width is not automatically printable width: allow for printer margins.
Prepare your print
Assess the photograph at its intended print size and check cropping before printing. Choose an appropriate paper profile and make a small test with the same colour settings first. For panoramas, check the maximum print length supported by the printer and software. Ilford describes the coating as instant dry; still protect the surface from fingerprints and scratches and follow your printer’s finishing instructions.
