What does the luster finish offer?
This is the Luster Smooth version. This product does not offer a choice between matte and high gloss. Consider where you will view the print and compare the surface under that room’s lighting. Frame glazing also affects reflections. Ilford describes the surface as instant dry after printing; this does not establish scratch resistance or unrestricted outdoor use.
Will this roll fit your printer?
Check that your wide-format inkjet printer supports a 91.4 cm (36 inch) roll width, 285 gsm paper and 265 µm thickness. An ordinary A4 or A3 printer cannot feed this wide roll. Also check the roll holder, suitable core diameter, maximum roll diameter and a paper profile for your printer and ink. Width alone does not confirm compatibility.
Preparing a large photographic print
Inspect your photograph at the intended print size and check its aspect ratio. Allow for printer margins, any white border and trimming. For a panorama, the chosen print length must stay within both printer and software limits. Make a smaller test with the same profile and colour management before using a large amount of paper. Minimise contact with the printing surface and support the output so the print does not fall onto the floor.
