Discover the versatility of the StudioKing SK-BD550, a white beauty dish with a diameter of 55 cm. This kit includes everything you need to capture your model perfectly: a honeycomb grid, a diffusion cloth, and a reflector. A beauty dish offers wide light coverage and creates stunning contrast, highlighting skin tones and even muscles flawlessly. Compared to silver variants, the white color delivers even softer light, making it ideal for flash-ready portrait photography.
Key features of the StudioKing SK-BD550
- Includes honeycomb grid for controlled light shaping
- Diffusion cloth for soft, even lighting
- Reflector ensures uniform light distribution
How does it work exactly? You easily attach the reflector inside the beauty dish using three rods. This creates a beautiful spread of light. The included honeycomb grid keeps the light tightly controlled, perfect for creative lighting effects. Use the diffusion cloth when you want a soft, smooth light source that minimizes unwanted shadows.
You choose which flashes to use, as the StudioKing SK-BD550 offers flexibility with brand-independent adapter rings. Flashes from well-known brands like Bowens, Broncolor, Elinchrom, Falcon Eyes, Hensel, Multiblitz, and Linkstar connect seamlessly with the right adapters, so you don’t need expensive brand-specific accessories. Besides a 152 mm adapter, you can also opt for a 144 mm version for even more flexibility.
This universal beauty dish is perfect for photographers who want to beautifully accentuate the face or body of their model. It’s excellent for portrait and fashion shoots and can be tailored to your needs with optional adapter rings. Tip: the greater the distance to your subject, the larger the beauty dish you’ll want to use.
